Accounting Specialist
L. Rose Recruiting is partnering with Dix.Hite + Partners to identify a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join their team in Longwood, Florida.

This role plays an important part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm while ensuring accuracy, organization, and strong collaboration across teams.

What You Will Do
You will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the firm, helping ensure financial records, vendor management, expense tracking, and administrative processes are handled accurately and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing accounts payable processes and vendor payments
Reviewing credit card charges and expense reports for accuracy and compliance
Supporting bank reconciliations and recording deposits
Assisting with payroll administration and timesheet support
Supporting benefits administration and payroll deductions
Maintaining vendor records and required documentation
Assisting with project invoicing and accounts receivable tracking
Providing administrative and operational support to accounting and leadership teams
How You Will Do It
You will leverage strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accounting knowledge to help maintain efficient financial operations.
Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
Manage invoice intake, verification, vendor payments, and inquiries
Maintain vendor records including W-9 documentation
Reconcile accounts payable records
Expense & Credit Card Management
Review credit card transactions and collect receipts
Ensure compliance with company policies
Process and reconcile weekly expense reports
Banking & Financial Administration
Record deposits and support bank reconciliations
Maintain financial records and documentation
Payroll & Benefits Support
Provide timesheet support for payroll processing
Assist with payroll administration, including W-2 preparation
Support benefits administration and vendor coordination
Project Accounting Support
Assist with preparation of project invoices
Support accounts receivable and collections tracking
Maintain project and vendor information in Deltek Ajera
Administrative & Operational Support
Support company licensing, certifications, and insurance documentation
Assist with employee events and corporate activities
Provide project setup support and general administrative assistance
Provide front desk coverage when needed
Qualifications
Required
3+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to communicate professionally with employees, vendors, and partners
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)
Experience with accounting software such as Deltek Ajera, Deltek Vision, QuickBooks, Sage, or Vantagepoint
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Preferred
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
5+ years of accounting experience
Experience working within Architecture, Engineering, or Planning firms
Familiarity with Deltek Ajera
