Director of Marketing & E-commerce

Winter Park, FL
Full Time
Senior Manager/Supervisor

Love building brands and growing e-commerce businesses? Here's an opportunity to make a real impact.

We’re partnering with Microjig, a woodworking tools and accessories company that develops innovative products to help woodworkers work with greater safety, precision, and control.

We’re looking for a Director of Marketing & E-commerce who can bring Microjig’s marketing efforts together under a clear, consistent strategy and turn that strategy into action.

This is an opportunity for an experienced marketing leader to take ownership of marketing strategy, strengthen an established consumer brand, and drive growth across multiple e-commerce channels.

This is also a doer-first leadership role. You’ll set the direction, but you won’t operate from the sidelines. You’ll shape messaging, conduct market and customer research, lead paid media efforts, coordinate product launches, and drive revenue growth across Microjig.com, Amazon, Home Depot.com, and TikTok Shop.

You'll lead a small team and collaborate with contractors and external partners, but you'll also be directly involved in execution. We're looking for someone who can move comfortably between strategy and hands-on work, whether that's managing paid campaigns, analyzing performance, refining messaging, or using AI tools to make quick creative adjustments.

We're also looking for someone who is AI-forward, a leader who actively explores emerging technologies and finds practical ways to leverage AI to improve marketing effectiveness, streamline workflows, and accelerate execution.

This is an on-site role in Winter Park, Florida.

What you'll do

  • Bring the brand message together. Develop clear, consistent messaging that connects Microjig's products with woodworkers, DIYers, hobbyists, and professionals across channels.
  • Grow e-commerce revenue. Develop and execute strategies to drive profitable growth across Microjig.com/Shopify, Amazon, Home Depot.com, and TikTok Shop.
  • Own paid media strategy and execution. Take direct ownership of paid advertising efforts, including campaign planning, management, optimization, creative testing, and performance analysis. Work with external resources when appropriate while maintaining accountability for results.
  • Lead product launches. Build a reliable process for bringing new products to market, coordinating messaging, content, creative, e-commerce, email, and promotion.
  • Conduct market and customer research. Research competitors, customer behavior, market trends, and growth opportunities to inform positioning, product launches, and marketing decisions.
  • Turn strategy into action. Translate marketing goals into clear priorities, projects, and deliverables that the team can execute.
  • Stay close to the work. This isn't a role where everything gets delegated. You'll actively contribute to campaigns, messaging, e-commerce optimization, reporting, and creative execution, including making quick design adjustments using AI tools when needed.
  • Direct content and creative. Work closely with Microjig's content creator and external resources to develop demonstrations, educational content, campaigns, and creative assets that resonate with customers.
  • Improve the customer journey. Strengthen product positioning, product pages, landing pages, merchandising, email, and retention efforts.
  • Build better marketing systems. Establish practical processes, launch calendars, reporting, playbooks, and workflows that help the team execute consistently.
  • Develop the team. Coach your direct report, give contractors and vendors clear direction, and create accountability around priorities, deadlines, and results.
  • Champion AI and innovation. Proactively identify and implement AI tools, automation, and emerging technologies to improve marketing effectiveness, streamline workflows, accelerate execution, and increase team productivity.

What we're looking for

  • A proven track record of growing an e-commerce or consumer brand and turning marketing strategy into measurable business results.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Shopify and a solid understanding of e-commerce fundamentals.
  • Experience marketing across multiple digital commerce channels, ideally including Amazon, TikTok Shop, and/or major retail marketplaces.
  • Direct, hands-on paid media experience, including campaign management, optimization, budget allocation, creative testing, and performance analysis.
  • The ability to develop strong positioning and messaging and carry it consistently across campaigns, channels, and product launches.
  • Experience conducting market, competitor, and customer research to inform marketing strategy.
  • Experience planning and coordinating successful product launches.
  • Comfort with the numbers behind growth, including revenue, margins, acquisition costs, conversion, repeat purchases, and profitability.
  • Experience directing content creators, designers, agencies, contractors, or other marketing resources.
  • Experience managing and developing employees while holding internal and external partners accountable.
  • The ability to build practical processes and keep a small team focused on the right priorities.
  • An AI-forward mindset. You actively explore, adopt, and leverage AI tools to improve marketing strategy, content creation, research, analysis, and operational efficiency. You're excited about emerging technologies and constantly looking for smarter ways to work.
  • A doer-first leadership style. You're comfortable setting the strategy, but equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves and executing it.
  • Availability to work on-site in Winter Park, Florida.

Nice to have:

  • A genuine interest in or passion for woodworking, tools, DIY, or the maker community. Familiarity with this industry is a plus, but we're primarily looking for a strong marketing leader who can learn the audience, understand the products, and build effective strategies to reach customers.
